Virginia Gun Transfers made easy!
We can transfer or ship your firearm to you!
Artillery Depot is a licensed FFL dealer in the Commonwealth of Virginia. The basic of guns transfers are as follows:
- If you have purchased a firearm in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- If you have purchased a firearm in another State you must have your firearm transferred to a FFL in your state.
- If you have sold a firearm to someone who lives out of state, you must transfer the firearm to a licensed FFL in the buyer’s home state.
Incoming Transfers – $30 Transfer Fee / Storage Transfers – $125 Transfer Fee
Private Sale Transfers – $12 Transfer Fee

- Information of the FFL dealer coming from
Once the firearm is received, we will process the firearm by contacting you and having you come in to fill out the paperwork required by law. Once the paperwork clears, (this usually takes 10-15 min) you may then take your firearm home.
In-State Residents:
- Photo ID issues by a government agency in the Commonwealth or US Dept of Defense to show residency
- Evidence of currently paid personal property tax, real estate tax, current lease, utility bill, voter registration card, bank check, passport, auto registration, hunting/fishing license
Out-of-State Residents:
It is required for out-of-state residents to provide two forms of Identification.
- Driver’s License with current address (required)
- Second from of ID can be any of the following:

- Car registration
- Conceal Carry permit
- Voter ID Card
- Hunting/Fishing License
ACTIVE DUTY Specific Requirements:
- Driver’s License
- Military ID Card
- Copy of PCS orders that station you in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- Utility Bill or the like that shows your current physical address
